The minimum is the smallest value in a dataset, while the maximum is the largest value. The range, which is the difference between the maximum and minimum values, provides a simple measure of variability in the data. While these measures are useful for understanding the extremes of a dataset, they are sensitive to outliers and may not always provide a complete picture of data distribution.
